Quarantine 01:28
Stuck in quarantine self isolation seems To be getting the best of me stuck for a while Stuck in this place with no meaning of space Or time which passes us by March never ends but when April begins I'll still have the same job I intended to leave And winter to spring has me going insane Cabin fever sets in as the trees get their leaves And up on the roof where the people all gather It's all one can do in such odd times like these When I hear a tune from a decade ago with no Self isolation or quarantine

I'll always find a way, there's always something to say when I'm drinking, I'm just a piece of clay, waiting on the day to shape me how, Do you put up with me? Time sure as fuck ain't free and it's shrinking, I just don't want to be, another guy that you're wasting your time on. Say something. Don't want to make you wait, I got a lot on my plate, work and all that. I know it's getting late, just ignore my bait need you here tonight. Maybe it's my fate, with all this shit on my plate, feel a bit trapped. It's a feeling I hate, just want to tell you straight I'll be alright. Say something, Do you think that we can find a way? I know you have to leave someday. I guess I don't know what to say, Say something for me. Say something for me, Say something for me, Say something for me, Could you say something. Do you think that we can find a way? I know you have to leave someday. I guess I don't know what to say, Say something.

Fool's Gold 04:41
You used to shock me with the plans you used to have Your ambition I adored A cigarette twixt your lips you say it'll all work out I just don't by it anymore Gravity keeps pulling me down And spitting me out oh isn't it Oh so typical But why is it I'd fallen for you Gone into another party every night No way to stay dry But we both know what we need to stay afloat In back of both our minds You say you're sad you know you're just like me I just don't have a tell This poker face I wear to keep you away from Worrying about my hell I left all my regrets on the notes I wrote I was once blind but now I see Pyrite luminous and bright so much for love it seems Fool's gold ain't worth that much to me And gravity keeps pulling me down And spitting me out oh isn't it Oh so typical But why is it I'd fallen for you And gravity keeps pulling me down And spitting me out oh isn't it Oh so typical But why is it I'd fallen for you And gravity keeps pulling me down And spitting me out oh isn't it Oh so typical But why is it I'd fallen for you And gravity keeps pulling me down And spitting me out oh isn't it Oh so typical But why is it I'd fallen for you Oh but never again

Otherwise 03:45
A year goes by With promises That you want in Oh I'm strung along And I'm dealing with These obstacles Being thrown at me I can't hear the song And fallen to the way side These ruins certainly tell the time And I can't do this Anymore But we're all imploding Oh now rest assured If it's not clear from the start Then why don't you just say so If it's no fun anymore Just say the word and we'll let it go Otherwise Otherwise And we'll carry on Like nothing's wrong And walk it off As they all say And always one To postpone But why can't you Meet us halfway And I submit to your compromise But what's the point if your intent's disguised And I set things up To see them fall But I just don't feel Like I'm culpable If it's not clear from the start Then why don't you just say so If it's no fun anymore Just say the word and we'll let it go Otherwise Otherwise If all this is Is pulling teeth It's time to part Oh how bittersweet I just don't think I have the time To waste it reading In between the lines If it's not clear from the start Then why don't you just say so If it's no fun anymore Just say the word and we'll let it go If it's not clear from the start Then why don't you just say so If you just don't want the part Then why can't you just let us know Otherwise Otherwise Otherwise

From CMH 05:56
Oh the bluest skies And those verdant hills Drunk on High Street and I'm Chasing thrills Oh all the places I left behind Cause I got Columbus On my mind Oh those bricks of scarlet And those concrete grays Cut through almost any Cloudy day But it's 2 A.M. On Park and Vine And I got the Short North On my mind Oh all the people I Left behind Oh but I got Columbus On my mind Been in D.C. six years and So I find I got Columbus on my mind Well I'm roaming the Short North I'm feeling good A retreat to nature in Blendon Woods Oh cause when I'm home I Need to just unwind And I got German Village On my mind Oh you're moving slow there's there's no worries here Oh so far away but Oh so near Into my heart it's So deep entwined 'Cause I've got U.A. On my mind Scioto banks and Fireworks ablaze 4th of July and Up for the chase you see And from suburb to city In minutes time 'Cause I've got Hilliard On my mind Oh all the people I Left behind Oh 'cause I've got Columbus On my mind Been in D.C. six years and So I find I've got Columbus on my mind Well it's been awhile Since I've been gone But it's homeward bound That I'm drawn Oh those views from Juniper Of that skyline 'Cause I've got Columbus On my mind Oh all the people I Left behind Oh 'cause I've got Columbus On my mind Been in D.C. six years and So I find I've got Columbus on my mind

about

Trapped in the basement of their home as a pandemic swept the globe, Cardboard Planets' Derek Allen and Chris Darroch set out to craft an album that portrayed what the past year had brought. The result, the debut E.P. Songs from West Virginia's Basement, tells the tales of their restlessness, anxiety, and longings for simpler times.
